Chiropractor not charging us for money owed on EOB

My girlfriend has been going to a chiropractor monthly since July who was recommended by a coworker. The coworker is on her same insurance plan. The chiropractor told my girlfriend that she was in network. But my girlfriend has been receiving EOBs from her insurance saying that the chiropractor is not in network, and that she should expect to be billed around $200 for each appointment. Here’s the thing: the chiropractor says she owes no money, and we have never received a bill from the chiropractor. Any clue what’s going on here? Is the chiropractor disorganized, or lying? Should we expect to get a massive bill soon? Or is the chiropractor just eating the cost?

Edit: We are in NJ.
