Hi all. Apologies if this is a dumb question. I’ve always been employed and have never really needed to think about getting coverage for myself before (always been offered by employer).
Last year I lost my job in October and decided to cancel cobra since it was so expensive. I’ve now realized that i’ll be fined by CA if i don’t have health care for over 3mo, so i’m trying to look into my options.
I’m going through covered california right now, but i feel like it’s disingenuous to state that my income is 0… even though technically in 2022 it IS 0.
Do I qualify for medicaid? Is there a better option for me out there? I DO hope to get a new job some time soon, but for now i need to get some coverage…
Thanks for the help and sorry again if this is a dumb question 🙁
