So I’ve been referred to an intensive outpatient program for a psychiatric condition but they don’t accept medi-cal/Medicaid insurance. In fact, all the outpatient programs for my condition do not accept medi-cal/ Medicaid. I don’t have a lot of money to buy commercial insurance….what can I do to access the care I need? I’ve called places like the department of social services, including their mental health department, but their voicemail box is full.
