I didn’t download an app, and I didn’t give wifi credentials (was never asked for any and didn’t know this thing had a wifi radio inside it), yet somehow my blood pressure monitor uploaded my test results to the parent company. I know this because I got an email with the time of my blood pressure test and the results that said “congratulations, you blah blah blah..”
There must be some pretty good software to bypass my router security and connect and upload data to a server somewhere, and it definitely did not have my permission to do so.
How is any of this shady crap still legal? Feels very Orwellian. Anyone else?
