Will I have to repay medi cal?

Partner, baby, and I have been receiving medi cal all through out 2021. My partner started the 2021 year off on unemployment for five months and then was hired for a job for six months then laid off and on unemployment again for another month. I didnt work throughout the year due to being a stay at home mom and going to school. The problem here is I misunderstood what the caseworker meant by change of income and thought they meant to report when the means of HOW we received income changed (unemployed, employed, self employed, etc) and didn’t report any over time he received which put us over the eligibility income limit. Will we be penalized or have to pay medi cal back? I’m located in California
