When being wrongfully charged, at what point/dollar amount do you just give up and pay it?

I am being wrongfully charged for $90. Insurance continually says I owe nothing, but provider says I owe $90 or will be sent to collections. I have spent hours on the phone going back and forth between the 2 to no avail, and many more hours making myself sick over this situation. I have really bad anxiety and overthink things though. I can easily pay this $90. Its the fact that I shouldn’t have to be paying it, and the paranoia that what if next time, it’s 10x this amount and the same thing happens (I thought a small dispute like this would be good “practice” for me in case this happens again on a larger scale). But all this has done is drive me insane. I’ve been at this for over a month. It ruined my christmas because I was in a horrible mood about it, and I havent slept in 3 days. At this point I would have rather just paid the $90 outright if I’d known it would cause me this much stress. Do normal people just let this slide when its such a small amount?

I have tried solving the problem myself, going through a 3rd party health advocate that my work offers, and submitted this issue to the insurance commissioner in my state. Theres not much else I can do at this point, it’s just incredibly unfair
