Help. Medicaid and a HDHP?

Hello! I have had Medicaid for years and recently become employed full time. Even with my full time income I will still qualify for Medicaid due to our family size etc. I had two options through my employer, a PPO and a HDHP. The PPO was $100 biweekly and a very low deductible. The HDHP is a $2000 deductible with an HSA that my employer will contribute $800 yearly too and no biweekly cost. I chose the HDHP and HSA.

Did I make the right choice? Will my Medicaid cover most things and then I can use my HSA to pay for contacts and other expenses? I am desperately in need of therapy and dental work. 😬 I did enroll in our dental plan as well as vision.
