So recently turned 26 and began receiving a lot of mail from Ambetter. I had just stared a new job with benefits and honestly i thought that was the name of my new insurance ( my bad for not reading the fine print , i know). I received insurance cards in the mail and was getting billed. I was even called to update my info and asked to make sure they covered my doctors since i have to see certain ones for my medical issues. It wasn’t until i called my doctor that i was told that they didn’t accept Ambetter and that a lot of their patients get scammed by them. Then thats when i realized that this was not my company’s insurance. I have called twice now to terminate my account, but they keep getting billed. I dont know what i need to do. Do i contact someone from the market place, do i keep calling ambetter, do i make sure they arent charing my credit card company? I feel so violated, they know all of my medical information.
