I went to the ER and my insurance said they would cover it and I have a $125 copay which I payed.I just received an (overdue) bill for around $500 from the hospital. Doesn’t my insurance pay that since I’m covered by them? Insurance said that even though the hospital is out of network since it was an emergency service it would be covered so why the bills now? I even called before going into the hospital and waited hours during anaphylactic shock so I wouldn’t have a bill like this.
