So yeah just spent an hour on the phone trying to find a ballpark cost for an EEG but the provider said to call insurance and vice versa. classic. I had the billing code ( 95819) but they could not even give me a range. Why was it possible to determine the cost of the procedure ahead of the recent MRI just did? They called me and said I will be on the hook for 466 dollars because I had not met the deductible-yes, subject to change, but most likely this it. At least it gave me a range. Like it’s not 4666.
Do you know if short in-office in-network EEGs are more expensive than MRIs or cheaper, or same? Hundreds or thousands of dollars? I live in California. I hate this system. I am on the verge of not following thru with diagnostics since my issue is resolving and this BS is just too much.
