My health insurance (BCBS) EOB says $10 min / $20 max for 30 days of drugs at retail. But ExpressScripts only lets me do it twice before I have to pay $41 for that, with their mail-order prescription being $40 for 90 days. It seems like they’re just ignoring my actual health insurance rules and tacking on an additional charge. What’s annoying is even if I sign up for their mail pharmacy (which I don’t want to do), it still works out to $13.33 for 30 days – worse than what my EOB says.
What the fuck. Why can they do this? Is there a workaround? I would like to get my drugs at the place next door to me.
