I am currently 24w pregnant (due in late May) and is pending my green card interview (mid-Feb) in my home country. My husband is a US Citizen and a resident in the state of California. I’ve looked up the application wait time for Medi Cal is 45 days. I plan on entering USA around late March and I’m worried if my application would get approved in time for my delivery.
I was wondering if I’m able to kick-start my insurance application once my visa is approved at the Embassy or do I have to wait for my physical card?
If my husband has a valid Medi Cal and I’m his spouse, am I covered on his insurance given we’re legally married?
