I recently got healthfirst medicaid and have been meaning to see my primary care doctor so I can get a referral to see a sleep specialist. I need to see a doctor asap however my primary care doctor’s office isn’t open until monday. Is it possible for me to see another doctor within my network and get a referral from them instead? Or does it have to be from the primary care doctor listed on my health insurance card?
