As title states, Blue Cross of Illinois (PPO) is denying routine lab work charges for my kids who were in the NICU, stating the charges are not covered by the plan.
Has anyone experienced routine lab work not being covered? Seems counterintuitive that routine lab work done to monitor my kids health status during their months long NICU stays wouldn’t be covered. Don’t believe it is a coding error, but will be following up.
