This might be the wrong place to ask this, but I’ll try. I am finalizing my divorce. My wife is attempting to get a health insurance policy for herself and our 2 children in Utah. She is claiming that I should pay for a third of the policy (she pays for herself and one child, and I pay the for the other). Isn’t the weighted cost based on the age and health of the individual. Wouldn’t she have a higher weighted cost being 38 years old (versus my two children under 10)? Also, she drinks and smokes, but will most likely lie on the application.
