Long story short, my(40f) hand was crushed in a door. It was not intentional harm, but in a rage the door was closed with full body pushing on it and my hand was crushed. I have had significant medical costs. My health insurance wants to know the cause (whether or not to pay). There are likely going to be done ongoing costs for this. If I tell them the truth, will my claims be denied? Will they go after my spouse? If I say that it got closed on the door sure to high wind, will they make homeowners insurance cover it? I live in Illinois (60046) if that makes a difference.
