Is it legal to keep U.S. health insurance if I move abroad temporarily?

Hi, guys!

I (24 M) recently bought a good health insurance policy through the Healthcare Marketplace. The premium, deductible, and copays are all very low, and — crucially — it gives excellent mental health coverage ($5 per counseling visit).

I’m considering moving abroad temporarily, probably for about 8 months, on a working holiday visa. I’d like to keep this policy so I can continue to see my therapist virtually while I’m away, which would be much better and more cost-effective than trying to find a foreign insurance policy that would cover therapy during my time away.

Is this legal, or would I be running afoul of the law somehow?
