Sorry if this is common sense. Before this year, I taught in a school district where my deductible was $100 and almost everything was covered so I didn’t really need to think about anything insurance-related. I now have a HDHP
My deductible is 3000, and I’ve only paid $300 out of pocket so far. I just checked a recent EOB and it says:
Limit: 3000
Applied: 2149.05
Remaining: 850.95
Does this really mean that there is only $850.95 left for me to pay before I hit my deductible? My plan covers 100% after it’s met and I have an expensive test coming up, so this would be huge. I’m just unable to figure out why. One of my prescriptions costs several hundred dollars for a 30-day supply, but I only pay $20 or so per refill. Could that count toward my deductible?
