I have a therapist on a popular online therapy company. I started in august and have had 1-2 sessions a week since. I usually have a $30 copay but they weren’t charging me so I assumed that it was being fully covered (I have very good health insurance so it’s easily possible). I told my therapist as it was causing some anxiety and she told me to reach out as would she. I messaged their billing on December 17 2021 and they said that claims were being processed and some were accidentally denied but that they will figure it out. It’s now basically March and I still haven’t had a single bill. How long do they have to bill me? After a certain amount of time do I not have to pay or will I be screwed suddenly and they say oops I guess we aren’t covered. Would I be able to fight that and say that they told me it was covered and that I wouldn’t have used them if they would have told me from the get go when I asked? Any advice on if I should reach out again or let it go I am stopping services there soon.
