Employer’s health insurance plan “will not be available on next renewal date.” Freaking out trying to understand this and would appreciate any help. NJ

I received a letter from my health insurance, which I have through my employer, that my coverage has been discontinued for what I assume to be a missed payment. I am still employed full time, and, as far as I am aware, nothing has changed otherwise, but the letter is really vague.

It does not specify that missed payment is the reason for the discontinuation, but I have had issues with my online account and it is possible I am delinquent. I haven’t received notice stating if I am, but I will be calling Oxford in the morning to verify either way. Unfortunately, I am freaking out right now. And I’m embarrassed- both for potentially being delinquent and for not knowing whether I am or not either way- and for some reason, my brain immediately was like “Reddit.” I’m really grateful for any help.

The letter says my plan will be over on 6/1/2022. It says “Your employer will give you more information about the changes in coverage and what options will be available to you. When it’s time to renew your coverage, you will have to choose another plan offered by your employer.”

There’s also a “What does this mean to me?” section that says: “Your current plan will not be available on your next renewal date.”

Maybe it’s my anxiety, but I just don’t understand what any of this means for me right now or why it is happening. I was wondering a couple things and I really hope someone here might be able to help me and be willing to take the time to do so. I’ve seen the Reddit community do some really wonderful things for each other—I tried to post this from a throwaway, but my Reddit’s website wouldn’t submit it…like I said, I’m just embarrassed and like pissed at myself. I’m scared; I need my health insurance; my psychiatrist is the best I’ve ever had and I can’t replace him but I can’t afford him either, at least not regularly. My medication out-of-pocket would wipe out my savings by September, and that’s assuming I’m not buying literally anything else. Google was completely useless.

Question:

If my employer’s health did drop me individually due to a missed payment, is there anything that I can do to reinstate my plan? Assuming it’s nothing astronomical, I can pay any outstanding fees and balances ASAP.

I don’t even know how to articulate just how grateful I am for anyone and everyone who reads this and responds. My nerves and I really appreciate it.

EDIT: Sorry, I’ve never been on this sub and just saw the mod’s comment. I don’t feel comfortable providing my zip code if possible, but per the title I’m in NJ and I’m 29 years old.
