Hello my wife is 25 and covered under a Kaiser Cascade Gold Plan in Washington State that I pay for as well as a Kaiser plan in California that is through her mother. She recently gave birth to our son. The hospital total was $28,026.62. Only the Kaiser Washington plan was billed. Our remaining copay is $1,575 as the plan charges a flat copay for each day spent in the hospital. The Kaiser California plan covers 80% of each day spent in the hospital. Is it possible to have the Kaiser California plan cover any of this bill? If so should I pay the bill and seek reimbursement or somehow send the bill to Kaiser California?
