So I am learning more about health insurance for my career and I cannot find answers to this to save my life.
When someone has a terminal illness or something happens that they can’t pay their medical bills, why aren’t they going to medicaid? Why do they do go fund me?
If all assets have been garnished for the bills and you do not make enough to pay the crazy medical costs, then why not apply for medicaid?
Also, there is a limit to how much you pay out of pocket when you have your own insurance, so how do people go bankrupt due to medical bills?
