Don’t sign on for this waste of money. I’m learning that these companies (at least in the US) are protected under federal guidelines, ERISA, and don’t have any expectation to payout. I’m having to do a Davey/Goliath fight against a corporate entity while also being treated for advanced prostate cancer. I’m about to be homeless, stop treatments all because I trusted the disability insurance my employer offered would have helped in my absence from work…I was wrong, so please, save your money now and don’t pay into what is essentially a corporate scam.
