Confused but trying to plan ahead.

TLDR: trying to find out if it’s possible to have Medicaid as a secondary to insurance through spouses job?

ETA: 40475, 27f, 16Kish but husbands makes 38K a year.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but any advice or advice on where to look is helpful. My and My Husbands income is right on the line to qualify for Medicaid. I’m not sure if it’s a little bit over or just a little bit under. I have Medicaid at the moment, and he doesn’t. We got married last June, everything was turned in to the state as far as both of our Income, marriage info, and his insurance through his employer.

I didn’t take his insurance because I still qualified for Medicaid and we were in a tight spot Financially. (Income is too high for assistance other than Medicaid but too low to keep from struggling after an unexpected expense). I also wasn’t working a stable job at the time.

We’re approaching open enrollment for his job in April or may, and I have to reapply for Medicaid in may. I now have a job that pays higher by $3 a hour than when I was approved for Medicaid before. It’s only part time, so I don’t have insurance through my job.

Anyway sorry for over explaining. My question is trying to find out if it’s possible to keep Medicaid as a secondary (if I still qualify when I re apply) or if I will lose Medicaid all together when I take insurance through my husbands job.
