Hey, I have united healthcare and I am a trans man in the United States. I am looking to have top surgery and I have tried to look to see if their policies cover top surgery but it’s been really weird to figure out and my research hasn’t really gotten anywhere. I’ve also tried to look into going through a practice but it looks like I’d have to have a consultation that is billable? I’m also having issues with united recognizing my endocrinologist even though they said they were in network. But even if they were out of network how would I get reimbursed at the out of network cost? Thanks for any advice, it’s really hard to figure out.
