Hi. I’m Roberto, 22, and I’ve had my own insurance (Anthem) for about two years now. I have some issues I’d like to see a doctor about so I’m trying to finally use it. My issue is I have no idea where to start or how to do so. I’ve been told repeatedly that I first need to get a primary care physician. I went on Anthem’s website, trying to pick out possible options on their care team page. When I finally called my choices though, I realized that their care team page was extremely inaccurate. One of them had actually retired, another wasn’t even at that location and the third call wouldn’t even go through. I’m extremely stressed and overwhelmed by this but would anyone know how to properly get a PCP or the steps that most people would normally take when looking for one? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
