Hello,
Here is my situation:
My wife and child are Alaskan native and have access to the local hospital in town. They cover all health benefits for free there.
I have a new job that has overly expensive health insurance if I cover my family. My thought was to get it only for myself (non-Alaskan native) for the mean time and get it for my family later if they need it through the ACA Marketplace.
Since they are Alaskan native, they can sign up at any point and get health insurance when needed. Does my plan work or am I missing something? Are there any risks I am not thinking about?
Ages: 26 28 1
Income: $70,000 a year
Zip Code: 99504
Thank you,
