I got the below remarks for the claims of my newborn daughter. I am not sure why it has such issues. I was told that Aetna will cover the first 31 days of the newborn..then why it still shows such remarks…Does anyone know this?
Thanks in advance.
Remarks: You or your dependent children may have other coverage. You can easily update this online. Do this by logging into the Member Portal, by mail or by phone. Is there other coverage? If yes, provide all details requested below. If no, let us know so we don’t deny your claim. 1. The name, date of birth and subscriber ID number 2. The name of the other employer, if it applies 3. The effective date of the coverage 4. The name, address and phone number of the other insurance company. You can find these details on the ID card for the other plan. 5. Employment status (actively employed, retired or on COBRA) Since the claim is for one of your dependents, we need to know: 1. Is there a court order stating who’s financially liable for the dependent(s) medical, dental, or other health care expenses? If yes, who’s liable? If no, who has custody? 2. If joint or not established custody who does the dependent(s) live with? We will deny the charge in 45 days from the date of this statement if we do not have the details we need. You will have a right to appeal the denial at that time.
