I recently started a great job at a small company, but they obviously have horrible health insurance. ($9,000 yearly deductible before anything is covered).
The other day I had an ultrasound done and the results were pretty bad. I’ll likely need surgery or I’ll eventually die. So now I have to find an insurance plan without a yearly deductible (or at least a very low one) that covers pre existing conditions. I live in PA and tried Pennie. The cheapest plan I found that meets my needs was about $650 per month. I wouldn’t be able to consistently pay that premium, so I’m not sure what to do.
I gross $45,000 yearly at my new job, but once taxes are taken my net barely pays my bills plus food/gas. I’m 35 if it matters.
I’m pretty upset that I can’t get any assistance from the state. Is there anything else I should try???
