Hi everyone
I am 21 and I am independent of my parents- I pay for all of my bills including health insurance. I am on marketplace insurance and file my taxes as an independent. My mother wants to add me to her Metlife accident insurance policy. Is this okay to do? Will the insurance company/taxes/whoever consider me a dependent? Could I lose my marketplace health insurance if I am put on my mother’s Metlife accident insurance?
