I’m currently in treatment for TMJ issues and have just been told I need surgery. My provider won’t continue treating me if I don’t use “his” surgeon, whose out of network.
I personally think it’s highly unethical but I trust his medical opinion and want to continue treatment with him. Is there anything I can do? Would insurance consider covering the surgery at an in network rate if I’m being forced to use an out of network surgeon?
