Early 30s. No major health issues, no medications. Haven’t seen my primary in 2+ years. At the same time I have previously had an eye condition several years ago so I see a ophthalmologist about 4x/year to make sure everything looks good, a bit out of paranoia/personal peace of mind as much as due to preventative care.
Considering these factors, which health plan makes more sense? I also have the option of a HDHP with HSA but I assume that’s not ideal for me given the above.
PPO plan 1: $0 per month but has a $1000 deductible, co-insurance of 25% and a max out of pocket of $4000.
PPO plan 2: $115 per month, $350 deductible, 15% coinsurance, $2000 max out of pocket
