I have had a lot of health issues since the start of the year and have been to the ER, my primary care dr twice, gotten lab work done, and am currently in the process of being referred to a specialist. I’ve had a really difficult time trying to find a specialist in my area (Texas) that accepts my insurance (Oscar – Simple Bronze Plan). I’ve used the Oscar app and website to search for doctors in my area that are in network. However, several of the doctors I’ve reached out to say they do not accept Oscar, even though Oscar says they do. I called Oscar and they said on their end it shows that these doctors are in network, but since the dr is saying they won’t accept it then I can’t go to them. So I’m feeling really stuck and frustrated. I’ve been on the phone with doctor’s offices just about everyday for the past month trying to find somewhere to go. Has anyone experienced anything similar with Oscar? Any advice?
