I’ve been seeing my OBGYN since October and am due with my first baby in May. I have had United Healthcare since November. At my November appointment I signed the OB global budget agreement where every appointment I pay $287 toward my deductible and the last payment was this March. This is not the fee for visit, as I have separate claims for those and was told this is specifically toward deductible.
On my UHC portal it is reflecting $0 paid toward my deductible of $1,500. I called insurance today and they basically said I needed to call billing and didn’t seem to understand my question. They said this fee is often held by the office until services are rendered and should be credited back, which I did not understand at all. I’m going to call billing Monday but I’m still very confused and don’t understand what is happening.
