What does initial enrollment mean on marketplace exactly? What happens if I don’t pay the first premium?

Hey guys, I just recently confirmed a healthcare plan and dental plan through marketplace. (I was lucky enough to get special enrollment period) it’s my first time dealing with this stuff, I’m 26

I guess my confusion is, it says my policy is not active until I pay the first premium. The thing is, I still need to talk to my boss about when he is willing to start reimbursing me monthly for the health insurance. So I’m worried I jumped the gun by confirming the plan. If I don’t pay my first premium/activate the policy by the beginning of next month, will I be booted off the insurance? Or is it possible for me to wait to activate it for a bit?

I guess I’m just worried because he may want me to wait another 2 months before he starts paying. It says to choose a plan by June 3, 2022 to get coverage and I did that.
