I have a relatively cushy tech job but I want to leave eventually both for a general break but also to pursue some entrepreneurial interests. I am generally healthy AFAIK. I suppose I will need to buy some healthcare off of the marketplace so I have a specific concern as well as a general concern:
If I expect to be out of the States for at least a few months out of the next year, is there anything in particular I should look at for international coverage? I.e. do all the marketplace plans suck in that respect? Or only the expensive ones? Any specific companies? More generally, how do I pick a plan that doesn’t suck? I am guessing this is covered elsewhere in this subreddit so I will do some reading but I remember the last time I had a marketplace plan, I think I downgraded to a bronze plan and then very few places nearby me took the plan at the time. Is there any way to avoid that outcome?
