I am 24 in America. My insurance is trying to take me off of coverage because I am not full time in school anymore. Is it true that under the affordable care act, they cannot do this? It is a large group health insurance. I read somewhere that the ACA was extended to December 2022 (unless extended otherwise later on). I also read that they can follow state law, but it cannot prevent the ACA from taking precedence.

Edit: my father is a retiree. I also just read that a few years ago grandfathered plans have to allow coverage for under 26 years old. Should I call the insurance tomorrow and say all of this?
