Hi I was wondering if anyone else was having the same experience or hopefully had some advice on my situation.
I submitted forms to Aetna to get reimbursed for my CoVID home test kits, the moment it was announced that private insurance had to cover them. I made sure to get ones that fell within the range that they would cover, I filled out the form, and immediately mailed it.
And after a month of waiting I reached out to ask if they had received it and they told me that they were unsure but that they had a large volume they were processing (requests for reimbursements were sent to a PO Box). I’ve waited for so long that I nearly forgot until recently and reached out again since it has been almost three months since I sent the form and we were told that they would reimburse us within 30 days.
Their response was that they got it back in February but that because of the large volume that some applications were taking longer. I just find this complete BS.
Anyways, does anyone have any advice that they could impart? I bought 4 kits so it was almost $100 so for me it’s a lot of money that I would really like to get back. I went through my private insurance that I get from work because I felt that people who really needed it (read: those who had no to little to horrible insurance) should get the free ones from the government.
Thank you in advance!
