I have an upcoming procedure where I’m hoping that Medicaid would be able to cover the remaining deductible and coinsurance payments of my primary work insurance. My impression from what I’ve read online was that Medicaid covers this, so I was shocked when I spoke to a Medicaid representative that told me that Medicaid only covers the premiums of my employee health insurance. She said that copays, deductibles, and coinsurances are not covered by Medicaid. Can someone clarify this policy? I’m in NY and have straight Medicaid as FFS.
