Can they deny the claim?

I have a in-network only plan for health coverage. I went on their website first before getting services and went to the listed provider that was on their list. A few weeks later I am notified that insurance denied coverage and I owe the full balance. I called the insurance and they said it was denied cause out of network. I told them it’s listed on the website and the customer service rep checked and it is still listed on the website but apparently they are getting rid of partnership with that provider soon, so my claim is still technically out of network.

I am for sure going to appeal this decision because this makes no sense if it’s listed on the website and still listed on the website today. I just don’t understand how this can happen?
