Hello all, I am here because I am in a sticky situation and I have a question regarding how to keep my health insurance. Right now I work for a company with great insurance, however, that company is really only great for the benefits, and not actually its work culture.
To be honest, I am on the verge of leaving this job. But the thing is, I have a major surgery that is coming up, and I Was able to get this surgery covered by Cigna through my company’s benefit plan.
My question is, if I leave this job before my surgery date, how can I work something out with Cigna where I can still remained covered at least to have the surgery? I am willing to pay the regular price (non discounted benefit price) to get a plan that still covers the surgery, but I dont know if there is a certain open enrollment time, or if the regular Cigna plans will not have the same coverage as the one from my company.
Any help, suggestions, or random advice will be very appreciated.
