My Primary Care Physician referred me to see a Cardiologist because I did an Echocardiogram that showed something abnormal with my heart.
The Cardiologist had me repeat the exam in addition to wearing a heart monitor for a week.
I called the facility today to ask them,”Do I get my results from the Cardiologist or can I get them from my GP?” They told me, “You’re scheduled to have a follow up with the Cardiologist May 11th. He’ll discuss your results with you then.” I hung up the phone, but then I thought,
“Why do I have to wait this long to get my test results. Why can’t they just send them to my GP and I can get it from him?”
What if the tests come back normal and there’s no need for a follow up?
