I’m a type 1 diabetic on a lot of prescriptions. I am getting a job and thus switching from my mom’s (shitty) United healthcare plan to Aetna. I’m choosing the plan with $0 deductible and high monthly cost because I’m tired of dealing with bs so I’d rather ball out I guess. If anyone has any suggestions on if the more expensive plan is the best bet or if I can go for a slightly lower cost plan I’d appreciate it.
Anyway, I’m very confused. When I sign up for aetna, my benefits won’t take place until June 1st. I still have to choose a plan. What happens after I choose? Will I be without benefits for a month? Do I have to notify United healthcare?
Also, can my prescriptions be transferred from my Oxford mail order pharmacy to aetna somehow? Plz help 🙁
