New job, not eligible for coverage until June 1. Coverage from my old employer ends May 1.
is it illegal to be without coverage for a month?
If we elect COBRA for a month, can we sign up for coverage with the new employer on June 1?
Employer is offering for us to join their coverage for May and pay full price (no employer-paid benefit). This would be expensive. But is the most stress free answer to our problems?
