What Does “Copay After Deductible” Mean? (New York State Marketplace)

I’m trying to purchase individual insurance off the New York State marketplace and I’m having trouble finding an answer to this. Almost all the plans I’m looking at use this wording. Like “Primary Care Visit: $50 Copay after deductible.” Does that mean I have to pay for all my medical services out of pocket until I meet my deductible, and then my insurance will kick in, but I’ll still have to pay a $50 copay? I feel like that can’t possibly be right, especially since even the more expensive plans (which you would think would have more comprehensive coverage) still use the same phrase. Does anyone have any experience buying insurance in NYS have an answer to this?
