Letter from insurance company, “Request for Medical Claim Information”

I got a letter in regards to a broken hip injury. They want further information “to determine if someone else should have paid for the treatment.”

They are asking the Rawlings Company to determine [for example] if someone else caused the injury or if it occurred on someone else’s property.

Should I cooperate? I feel like I should, but maybe there is some downside to me.
