Question About SaveOnSP

Good evening,

Has anyone had any experience with a program called SaveOnSP? I just received a letter that my benefit plan is using this program to help my copay become $0.

The issue is, that it seems like they want me to be enrolled in a copay assistance program. My copay is affordable, and I have a Health Reimbursement Account that covers it, so I already pay $0 out of pocket. I filled out the paperwork to apply when I first started on my DMT, but when I determined I didn’t need it, I declined.

They seem to work by declaring the drug non essential, and they raise the copay amount to be whatever the manufacturer max is for the copay assistance program. They will cover the copay they set and then I believe they will pocket the rest.

Am I reading the notice wrong? Has anyone had any issues with this program? Or has anyone used this program with no issues? I’m nervous because so far I’ve been lucky, and had no issues at all with approvals. Even my neurologist was surprised with how quickly I was able to get my medicine when I started. This feels like it will be the thing that changes that experience.

Thank you
