Is there a way to preemptively look up how much an in-network provider charges for something? That is, what is the contractual allowed amount between my insurance company and a given provider for procedure X.
Basically, I have a catastrophic plan: super high deductible, but 100% coverage after that. So for most non-catastrophic care, the contractual allowed amount is what I’ll pay. Some doctors are more expensive than others: how can I figure out which ones?
