Questions about out of pocket max

I’m trying to find a health plan and I’m trying to decide between 2 different ones.

One has a deductible of $2000 with an Out of pocket max at $8500 for $900/mo

The other has a deductible of $5800 and the same OUt of pocket max at $8500 for $769

Obviously the premium is higher for the first one, a 5% difference in doctor visits, and a small difference in Tier 1 and Tier 2 drugs what does the out of pocket mean? I know it’s the max that the plan can make you pay before everything is covered, but what things are applied to out of pokcet max after i meet the deducible?

Also, I guess why would I pay over $100 more a month for a cheaper deductible but still have the same out of pocket max?

What are the benefits? Sorry for all the questions, i’m just super confused
