Hey guys,
I work for a medical office where we offer ABA therapy. Our techs are trying to bill more than 8 hours a day for some patients; sometimes more than 40 hours a week. We only work with BCBS and the local plan (Arizona) doesn’t require authorization. Is there a max amount of hours we can bill for a kiddo. The insurance representatives say there is no max but sometimes claims come back either denying because they’ve hit a max or other times they’re covered.
Has anyone else encountered this? Or do you know where else I can ask if this isn’t the right place to ask?
